Our Story
The Beginning
Subhub was founded in 2025 by university students who experienced firsthand the challenges of finding suitable housing. After struggling with unreliable listings, hidden fees, and poorly timed rental options, we decided to create a better student-to-student solution.
What started as a project to help classmates find semester and co-op housing is growing into a free marketplace for students in Canadian university cities.
Growth & Impact
Today, Subhub focuses on Waterloo, Toronto, Kingston, and London, helping students find short-term and semester housing options posted by other students.
We're focused on reducing the stress of housing searches during co-op terms, summer breaks, and semester transitions.
